Gambling: A waste of Money
Is gambling a waste of money? Not always. But more often than not it usually becomes a waste of money eventually. Recreational gambling is not always a waste of money. If you have a pre assigned amount of money set for recreational activities and you choose gambling to be your means of recreation, then it does not become a waste of money all that much as long as your gambling amount does not exceed your re assigned amount and as long as that amount is within your affordability. But for most, even if the start is at recreational gambling then also they eventually tend to get addicted.
There are several reasons why I would call gambling a waste of money. To start with, the main reason why gambling is a waste of money is that recovering the amount of money that you spend at gambling is next to impossible. No matter which casino you frequent, the odds are always tilted in a calculative manner slightly in favor of the casino. So even if you do win a couple of times, you have to associate yourselves with several losses before after and in between the wins. Eventually you end up paying more than you ever win. Also people spend hundreds and even thousands of dollars on gambling every year, saving it up would guarantee assured returns which you can never get from gambling. Also gambling at casinos usually raises your credit card debts to unmanageable proportions. How adversely that affects your credit scores is not unknown to anybody today.
To quit gambling is actually not as difficult as you think. Actually if you think how much better your finances would be if you do not gamble, you yourself would want to take necessary steps to stop yourself from becoming a gambling addict.
